ROCHESTER PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
Andreas Delfs, Music Director
Zlatomir Fung, cello
The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Cornell for what we hope will become a cherished tradition. On Mother’s Day 2023, the orchestra performs a lively program including Chabrier’s España, Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and more.
Since its founding by George Eastman in 1922, the RPO has been dedicated to artistic excellence and deeply committed to education and community engagement. Today, the RPO presents up to 150 concerts and broadcasts per year, serving nearly 170,000 people through performances, education, and community activities.
“The playing is powerful and commanding…with impact, eloquence and flair.” Gramophone
