Scottish Chamber Orchestra
Maxim Emelyanychev, Principal Conductor
Nicola Benedetti, Violin

Hailed as “one of the finest ensembles of its kind in the world today” by BBC Music Magazine, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra is known for its exceptional performances and its extensive, multi-award-winning recordings. From re-imagining the classical masters and romantic greats, to sharing contemporary commissions, the musicians of the SCO travel around the world as proud ambassadors for Scottish cultural excellence. This tour highlights an amazing Scottish National Treasure, violinist Nicola Benedetti, and features Anna Clyne’s Stride, Bruch’s Violin Concerto, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, “Scottish.”

“Both dazzling and intimate, effervescent and ethereal and once more you have to take your hat off to this fabulous ensemble who make chamber music on a grand scale seem like child’s play.” – The Courier
